"A day after backers of same-sex marriage rallied in front of Fresno City Hall, about 3,000 people gathered in the same place Sunday evening to support the traditional definition of marriage.

And our friend Bill May was there, pointing out that the defense of natural marriage equals the defense of the common good:

"We know marriage is a part of God's creation," said Bill May, with Catholics for the Common Good, an activist group that promotes Catholic social tradition in the public arena. "Traditional marriage is not something that society created. ... Marriage originated society."

The both sexed nature of marriage arises from human nature itself. It is through social expectations and religion that some limitations arise, for example age limits etc.
