Will latest Muslim atrocity force Europe to face reality?

Another Muslim atrocity in Europe. Will the Europeans wake up? The Europeans, if they will survive, if they want to survive, must lose their utopian universalist world view. That utopianism is a corruption of Christianity, as many writers have pointed out. To be fair to the average European, the poison (as in the U.S.) is mostly the work of elites who see themselves as internationalists. Many high ranking clergy have traded Christianity for this heresy, too. But the people are awakening: we see that with UKIP in Great Britain, with the National Front and the Manif demonstrations for the family and marriage in France, with Geert Wilders in the Netherlands, with the PEGIDA demonstrations in Germany.

The people in Europe, as in the United States want an end to the immigration policies that destroy their cultures and harm both the economic and family formation prospects of the poorest members of the host societies. May it happen before too much more blood is shed!

May today's victims rest in peace.

Pope Francis: Same-Sex "Marriage" is "A 'move' from the father of lies"

We know Pope Francis's stance on same-sex "marriage." Here is his 2010 statement opposing the bill that would make same-sex "marriage" and adoption legal in Argentina:

"In the coming weeks, the Argentine people will face a situation whose outcome can seriously harm the family…At stake is the identity and survival of the family: father, mother and children. At stake are the lives of many children who will be discriminated against in advance, and deprived of their human development given by a father and a mother and willed by God. At stake is the total rejection of God’s law engraved in our hearts.”

Cardinal Bergoglio continued: “Let us not be naive: this is not simply a political struggle, but it is an attempt to destroy God’s plan. It is not just a bill (a mere instrument) but a ‘move’ of the father of lies who seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”

We bring this up to expose the lies that the supporters of counterfeit "marriage" tell. The Illinois Legislature just legalized counterfeit marriage in their state, and some of them are attempting to justify their votes by citing Pope Francis's off the cuff statements. From the Chicago Tribune:

"Advocates soon received additional help from Pope Francis, who warned that the Catholic Church could lose its way by focusing too much on social stances, including opposition to homosexuality.

"If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge him?" Francis said in July.

The comments sparked a wave of soul-searching by several Catholic lawmakers who had battled to reconcile their religious beliefs with their sworn duty to represent their constituents who were increasingly supportive of gay rights even as Cardinal Francis George remained opposed.

"As a Catholic follower of Jesus and the pope, Pope Francis, I am clear that our Catholic religious doctrine has at its core love, compassion and justice for all people," said Rep. Linda Chapa LaVia, a Democrat from Aurora who voted for the bill after spending much of the summer undecided.

So they deliberately twist the Pope's message of love for of all people into support for same-sex "marriage"--despite the fact that the Holy Father said:

"At stake are the lives of many children who will be discriminated against in advance, and deprived of their human development given by a father and a mother and willed by God.

California's Poverty Rate Highest in Nation

The Party of Death holds every statewide office and has supermajorities in both the Assembly and Senate. So why are they not helping the poor?

Aaron Sankin writes in the Huffington Post:

California Poverty Rate Highest In Nation Based On New Census Department Figures

California has a poverty rate of 23.5 percent, the highest of any state in the country, according to figures released this week by the United States Census Bureau.

The only other geographic region with an equivalent poverty rate is the District of Columbia, with 23.2 percent. The second most poverty-stricken state was Florida, at 19.5 percent.

The recognition of California's shockingly high poverty rate comes as a part of a shift in the way the Census Bureau measures its data. When the government began examining poverty back in the early 1960s, the line for determining who fell underneath the threshold was determined solely by looking at food costs.

In the decades since, there's been increasing criticism this benchmark, as it doesn't take into account tax rates and assistance programs such as food stamps, child care expenses and medical costs. In examining its most recent data, the Census Bureau considered these previously ignored factors, deemed the "supplemental poverty measure."

These new metrics have yielded quite different results than in past years. Under the traditional definition of poverty, for example, California's rate is 16.3 percent.

"We're seeing a very slow recovery [nationally], with increases in poverty among workers due to more new jobs which are low-wage," University of Wisconsin-Madison economist Timothy Smeeding told the Associated Press. "As a whole, the safety net is holding many people up, while
California is struggling more because it's relatively harder there to qualify for food stamps and other benefits."

The Golden State's jump between the supplemental and conventional measures was the largest swing of any state, and the Sacramento Bee attributes it to California's
high cost of living...."

Cincinnati: Another case of "Heather has no Daddy"

The well-known book is called "Heather has two Mommies," but a more accurate title would be "Heather has no Daddy."

From Fox News:

"A Catholic school teacher who was fired after she became pregnant through artificial insemination was awarded more than $170,000 Monday after winning her anti-discrimination lawsuit against an Ohio archdiocese.

A federal jury found that the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati discriminated against Christa Dias by firing her in October 2010....

Dias said she pursued the lawsuit 'for the sake of other women' who might find themselves in a similar situation. She also said she filed it for 'my daughter's sake, so she knows it's important to stand up for what's right.'"

I doubt if the daughter will consider her mothers' selfishly depriving her of a father something that falls into the category of "what's right."  Dias, a same-sex attracted woman, will be living with her "partner" in Atlanta.  Legal experts say the Archdiocese will appeal.
