Totally Believable...

Our friend Q over at at LA Catholic is on the case.

We're talking about the conversation between a Planned Parenthood staffer and a caller who wanted his donation to go towards the extermination of African-American babies. For an audio file of this, go to Live Action's Adocate website.

Some folks call this "unbelievable" but I can't see why. What they really mean is that it is hideous, atrocious, and disgraceful.

It is all those things, but remember this is Planned Parenthood, founded by the notorious Margaret Sanger.

It's anything but unbelievable.

I never thought I'd find myself defending Planned Parenthood, but... To accuse them of waging a genocidal campaign against blacks on the basis of the lukewarm agreement of an administrative assistant with a pro-life setup is silly. Sanger may have been a eugenicist, but that does not prove the organization she founded is. It's a bit like saying all Anglicans want to behead their wives just because Henry VIII did.

Planned Parenthood and their war on the unborn are intrinsically evil, regardless of whom they are targeting. Egging on receptionists like this only makes pro-lifers look bad, and is totally unnecessary considering how easy it is to find real examples of their egregiousness. Pro-lifers should never forget that in order to win this way they will need to persuade and win over so-called moderates and fence-sitters, and this kind of thing doesn't help.
