In God We Trust

You can trust God.
Americans have trusted God since the founding of our nation.
Just don't admit it. Not in public.

That's what some atheists are saying. They're suing in a U.S. district court to expunge from public view our nation's historic trust in God.This lawsuit, brought by the atheist organization, Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), focuses on the $621 million Capitol Visitor Center, which opened in Washington, D.C., last year. It includes references to our National Motto, ''In God We Trust,'' and the Pledge of Allegiance (''one nation under God'').But FFRF wants those references eradicated. Essentially, they want to rewrite history - and write God out.

We will not stand by and let it happen. We are conducting thorough legal research and working in the heart of Washington, D.C., to answer this latest threat to freedom. We are filing a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of Congress and our Committee to Preserve America's Religious Heritage.
