Non-negotiable

Catholics cannot support the current proposal for health care as presently discussed in congressional committees... The reason is clear. Any provision that facilitates or encourages the termination of innocent human life can not be allowed to stand. But the committees refuse to accept any amendment that would prohibit abortion funding. For Catholics and pro life people of all faiths it’s a non negotiable. No matter how good the rest of the legislation might be in, for example, widening access to affordable health care, it is a stable principle of Catholic faith - and natural law - that you cannot do evil in order that good may come from it.

The pro life community must continue to make its voice heard. Write or phone your congress person to protect the most innocent of human beings and allow freedom of conscience for doctors and nurses and not require that they participate in the holocaust
