His latest post on the subject is "Saturday Night Card Game (Elizabeth Warren is Native American "in the age of Obama"). The professors links to two leftist commentators who make the argument that Warren is in fact Native American because she feels she is Native American.
We summarize their "arguments" (read them for yourself): Elizabeth Warren is an Indian because she "identifies" as an Indian.
Well, why not? That is the test for "transgendered" persons. If someone "identifies" as a woman, he is a woman--biology, common sense, and reality be damned.
Justice Anthony Kennedy codified this insanity--the word is accurate--in Casey v. Planned Parenthood:
"At the heart of liberty is the right to define one's own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life..."

And this is where we find ourselves. In an effort to reassert some common sense, I should point out that if one of my sons "identified as" a dog, I would seek treatment for his psychological disorder, and no one would think I was wrong for doing so. But let this same son tell me he thinks he is actually a girl, and the same experts would condemn me as a bad parent for trying to get his mental reality to conform to his physical reality, rather than the other way around.
