Fr. Malloy (& Fr. Armand) in the Washington Post

Today's Washington Post had a story about the upcoming inauguration of President Obama, and specifically about those who oppose his agenda. One of those honorable opponents is the great Reverend Clenard Childress, Directer of LEARN. The photo they used for the story was from the first Walk for Life West Coast in 2005, and shows Fr. Malloy (and his confrere Fr. Armand Oliveri, in the cap and scarf) at the lower left. God Bless the young priests--they were only 82 and 85 then!

The Reverend Childress was quoted:

“Let’s face it, this is a man very deep into an ideology that is not American,” says the Rev.Clenard Childress, a New Jersey minister and antiabortion activist who says black and white voters alike returned Obama to office “to feel better about ourselves and get the guilt of racism off us.”

To say Obama is "very deep into an ideology that is not American" is not rhetoric, but a simple statement of fact. Obama came in saying his aim was "fundamentally transforming the United States of America," and since then he has shredded the First Amendment to the Constitution and is now working on the Second.

God bless Reverend Childress! He's a little older now too, but he will be firing up the Walk for Life West Coast as the closing speaker on January 26. Be there for Life!
