de-Christianization

This posting thanks to Bill May--Catholics for the Common Good

"Inspiring a Wholehearted Faith in a Half-hearted Age For Parents, Teachers, Students, and All Concerned Catholics"

What can we do to counter the present de-Christianization of Western culture and to proclaim afresh the uniqueness of the Gospel?

Gil Bailie, a nationally-known lecturer and a CCG Advisory Committee member, offers fascinating answers to these questions in his series of talks called Emmaus Road Initiative. Following the observation of Pope Benedict XVI that a collaboration between theology and anthropology can lead to "the truly most exciting part of Christian faith", Gil's talks are designed to help us rediscover the excitement and give us a renewed appreciation of Christianity for this time and culture.

The series is very useful for all concerned about the re-evangelization of culture and deepening their faith. Please forward this e-mail to all who may be interested in attending the talk, and consider consulting your pastor about posting the flyer on the parish bulletin board.
