Nancy Pelosi Calls Legislators/Teachers Abandoning Jobs "Democracy in Action"

She really does.

She also says Wisconsin's "public servants" must have "a seat at the table." Hard to do when they skipped town.

Meanwhile a poll shows 64% of Americans agree with Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and think government workers should not be allowed to unionize. The poll was taken February 4-8. I'd imagine the numbers would be even higher now.

The teachers and legislators are not abandoning their jobs. They're doing their jobs and delivering a powerful lesson. God loves them.

The poll question was loaded. It asked: "Do you think government employees should be represented by labor unions that bargain for HIGHER pay, benefits and pensions...?". Had it been worded instead as "Do you think government employees should be represented by labor unions that bargain for FAIR pay, benefits and pensions..." the response would be different. It is quite possible that the pollster deliberately chose the wording to sway the results.

FDR, the grandfather of big government and budget busting deficits said, as "it is the deficit of today which is making possible the surplus of tomorrow, let us pursue the course we have mapped." Looking back upon those deficit days of the New Deal, the federal government was borrowing a larger portion of its operating expenses than it is today.
